Consortia groups

SCONUL supports three library consortia whose members are also members of SCONUL and which are formally constituted as sub-groups. They have autonomy within our shared core charitable objectives and two consortia have staff employed by SCONUL engaged in their work.

These consortia are:

Academic Libraries North
ALN is a network of academic libraries in the North of England. Through collaborative activities and mutual support, they seek to provide opportunities for their members in the exchange of knowledge and experience. They help facilitate initiatives that respond to emerging themes and opportunities and support their members through future challenges in higher education and the library environment. www.academiclibrariesnorth.ac.uk 


Customer Services Group UK  
Customer Services Group UK (CSGUK) supports library customer service professionals to develop, collaborate and share knowledge. They are primarily aimed at those working in Higher Education Libraries but anyone interested in their work is welcome to use their resources and get involved. www.sconul.ac.uk/customer-services-group-uk/ 

Mercian Collaboration logo

Mercian Collaboration
The Mercian Collaboration is a professional network principally formed from SCONUL member higher education libraries based in the East and West Midlands of England. The Collaboration provides a space to work together to explore training and development, and to seek efficiencies on behalf of institutions and the wider community. Members draw on their own and each other’s good practice and ideas, as well as their awareness of relevant ideas and developments from outside the Collaboration. www.merciancollaboration.org.uk
