AI coffee morning
SCONUL’s first AI coffee morning of 2026 will be on Friday 30 January at 10am when colleagues will have the opportunity to hear from UCISA about their AI Working Group and what they are working on. We’ll hear from:
- Emma Duke-Williams, who is the Educational Technologist and Learning Designer at University of Dundee. Emma will talk about the current UCISA AI work in progress around AI Definitions, AI Adoption Principles and more.
- Mark Hughes, Head of Library Services at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Chair of the SCONUL AI Working Group, and who also sits on the UCISA AI Working Group. Mark will update us on the next stages of UCISA’s AI work around 'Good AI Governance on supplier side' and University Staff Guidance provision & gaps.
For registration details, please email sconul@sconul.ac.uk.
The AI coffee mornings allow library colleagues to come together, share experiences and ask questions so that we can explore these tools and techniques as a community. These are not expert forums but for sharing information and experiences as practitioners and they are open to all, whatever your role or level of expertise. Please bring your own coffee and biscuits!
