SCONUL AI and information literacy CIG meeting
The next meeting of the AI and information literacy CIG will look at ‘AI approaches to using AI content discovery tools’, both practice and evaluation. We are delighted to be joined by the following speakers:
- Anna Richards is Liaison Librarian at the Edinburgh University. Anna will be talking about the library’s approach to evaluating AI tools, including using AI tools themselves to support with evaluation tasks as the changes to context discovery AI tools continues to develop at a rapid pace.
- Kelly Travers from the University of East London. Kelly will be talking about the library’s approach to using AI discovery tool ‘Keenious’. Kelly will provide examples of how support students ‘Keenious’ to support the surfacing of literature using areas of interest, research topics, and assessment briefs.
The meeting will take place on 3 June from 10.00 - 11.300hrs, and is open to all, whatever your role or level of expertise, and we welcome the sharing of different perspectives and practices.

The AI and information literacy CIG is a community of practice for those interested in exploring the role of the systems librarian in supporting the evolving needs of the library and looking at challenges around recruitment and succession planning as the systems themselves continue to evolve.
