How to get ahead in libraries webinar

Welcome to the first in a series of webinars about how to get ahead in libraries, where we’ll be exploring career options for those looking to take their next step on the ladder.

Our first webinar will look at how to get from a subject librarian role into library management and we’ll be hearing from Alison Harding, Executive Head of Library and Learning Resources from University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Pete Williams, Deputy Librarian at University of London and Lesley English, Head of Academic Engagement & Teaching Services at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Each of our speakers will briefly outline their career journey to date and highlight some tips for others looking to make a similar jump. There will also be plenty of time at the end to ask questions.

We hope this webinar will be of interest to those interested in career progression, but also the wider library community. The webinar will take place on Friday 22 November 2024 from 11am - 12.30pm.
