SCONUL and RLUK Town Hall meeting on the “big five” negotiations

SCONUL and RLUK held a joint Town Hall meeting, on Monday 20 October 2025, to discuss progress in the “big five” negotiations with Elsevier, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, Wiley and Sage, being conducted on the sector’s behalf by Jisc.
This provided an opportunity to learn about the outcome of the consultation on the proposals to date and we heard from Anna Vernon, Head of Research Licensing and Sarah Roughley Barake, Licensing Portfolio Specialist at Jisc. The session also gave an opportunity for members to share feedback and to discuss next steps.
