SCONUL Autumn Conference 2026
SCONUL is pleased to announce that it is bringing members together on Friday 13 November for a one-day face-to-face conference at The Studio in Birmingham.
We are excited to be hearing from Dr Stephen Gow, Leverhulme Fellow, Department for Learning and Teaching Enhancement at Edinburgh Napier University, who will be delivering the keynote speech, reporting on his recent extensive study looking at student experiences of navigating the generative AI landscape in UK higher education.
The conference will focus on demonstrating and delivering value and will offer high-quality plenary presentations and lightning talks as well as a chance for delegates to take part in workshops. This will be an excellent opportunity for colleagues to connect and network. Further details, including an agenda, will be available shortly.
Please email sconul@sconul.ac.uk for registration details.
Feedback from delegates on our last two conferences:
Thanks to SCONUL colleagues for putting it together and hosting. It's the first event I've attended in my new-ish management team role and I felt very welcome.
Only to say well done on the programme and organisation. It was a positive day and was well worth attending.
Thank you to the SCONUL team for an excellent day. Well done!
Thank you for organising this. I always get so much out of the chance to speak to other directors and deputies and hear all the exciting things happening in the sector despite turbulent times.
Thank you for bringing librarians together -it feels more important than ever.
Really enjoyable day, looking forward to the next one.
Thank you for a very inspiring day.
